Leadership

Our Elders

Oversight and leadership at Jacob's Well is given by a plurality of men who serve in the community as elders.  Currently Jacob's Well has four elders who mutually submit one another under Jesus as our senior pastor. Our current elder board is made up of the following men and their families:

  • Protim Adhikari
  • Scott Jones
  • Reid Monaghan
  • Manoj Thomas

Our Staff

We also have a staff team that executes and guides the mission of Jesus through Jacob's Well.  Not all are full time but all serve fully in the time they have to give.

Protim Adhikari ("Tim") - Serving as Pastor of Missional Communities

Adhikari FamilyProtim Adhikari (“Tim”) is thankful that God has given him a most excellent wife (Anne), two wonderful daughters (Hannah Joy and Bethany Hope), and above all, a humble, strong, and altogether awesome King named Jesus. After spending nearly a decade on Wall Street, Protim and his family stepped into a year of great change in 2009. In January, he began graduate studies at Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA and later that July, the family united with the mission of God at Jacob’s Well. At present, Protim serves on our staff part time with Jacob’s Well missional communities, leads the Somerset Missional Community with his wife, and remains excited about the prospect of Jesus calling many people to Himself…from Jersey, the Northeast, and beyond.

Paul Helms - Serving Worship through the Arts

Paul HelmsPaul is a deacon at Jacob's Well serving part time on our staff by leading worship through the arts. Paul sought to follow Jesus from Indiana to New Jersey in September of 2008 to help plant Jacob's Well. Since then, God has led him through a number of strange turns -- including living with 10 guys in a very large house, traveling internationally in the pursuit of good coffee, learning to garden and grow food, and gleaning food from farms all over New Jersey. Paul has been humbled and amazed at the musicians and artists that God has been bringing together in Jacob's Well to lead worship and is hopeful for all that God is preparing for in central New Jersey.

Ross Priddy - Serving as Director of Operations and WellKIDs

Priddy FamilyRoss is a deacon at Jacob's Well responsible for the administrative and operational side of things in our community. He is currently purusing a Master's degree in Theological studies throught the NYC extension center of Southern Seminary. Together with Laura, he leads WellKIDS by teaching the Gospel in creative and age appropriate ways to the children of Jacob’s Well while equipping parents to do the same. Ross and Laura (married 2007) are the parents of one Jack Priddy born in 2010.

Reid S. Monaghan - Serving as Lead Pastor

Monaghan FamilyReid did his undergraduate studies in applied science and physics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was also a collegiate wrestler for the perennial ACC power. He is currently doing graduate work in applied apologetics a multidisciplinary field spanning the philosophy, theology and biblical studies. It seems he needs to apply things

He also addresses students and athletes on various campuses throughout the United States. He has spoken to college students at such institutions as Brown, Princeton, Yale, Wake Forest, Rutgers, North Carolina and Virginia Tech. In addition to his campus work he has spoken at the voluntary chapel services for the Tennessee Titans, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Football Giants. As an apologist for the Christian faith, Reid has led conferences and seminars in the US as well as in places as diverse as Lima, Peru and the Czech Republic.

He loves philosophy, technology, sci-fi (don't hate) and watching ex-wrestlers crush it in the Mixed Martial Arts scene. Some of his greatest joys in life are his wife Kasey (married 1996), and the shorties Kayla (circa 2001), Kylene (circa 2003), and Thomas Reid (circa 2006). His technotheolosophical random blogging goes on over at Power of Change and tweets @reidSmonaghan.

Not growing up in a religious family, he came to faith while wrestling and studying at UNC.  More than anything, Reid is thankful for Jesus who grabbed him by the neck and changed his life when he was a twenty year old knucklehead. His family and some friends began Jacob's Well as a small group in homes in the fall of 2008.
