For Community Meditation

Growing in knowledge

  • Jesus told the disciples they would see the Kingdom of God in power? In what ways is the Kingdom of God a present reality? In what ways is not yet fully realized?
  • The cross and resurrection are intricately related as are suffering and glory in our lives. Why are both important for us to embrace?

Feeling life deeply

  • Read the story in Mark 9:14-29. Discuss the father’s statement “I believe, help my unbelief.” Can you relate to this?  Where was his faith placed?

Living  with courage

  • In what ways is prayer a radical act of faith? In what ways do we struggle with prayer?
