Jacob's Well gathers in smaller communities throughout central New Jersey to live out our mission together in close relationships with others.
As a community, Jacob's Well lives for the glory of God, the good of the city by extending hope through the gospel in our homes, as the church, in the city or public sphere. So there is a sense that the church both gathers and scatters. We gather together (1 Corinthians 14:26; Hebrews 10:19-25) and live as God's sent people in the world (John 20:21; Colossians 4:2-6).
We come together for weekly worship by singing together, proclamation of God's Word and the observance of the Lord's Table. We have a joint life together to receive instruction and equipping for living Gospel centered lives. Yet the church must also live in neighborhoods, on streets, in apartment buildings, in dormitories and condos. Jacob's Well exists as a gathered, yet sent people in culture.
- The Church Gathered - Our Sunday gatherings.
- The Church Sent - mission, care, being the church. We care for one another in relationships and build community with others through our community care groups.
Our Community Care Groups are actually the place where home, church and city converge as we gather together. All our members connect this way and anyone can be involved.
Feel free to check out one of our groups near you by contacting the leaders below.
