Know
- Read Genesis 12:1-3 and 15. What was the promise of God to Abraham? How is this promise fulfilled? Could this promise have failed?
- Read Romans 4:1-8 and Galatians 3:1-9. How do Paul and James seem to agree? How might they seem to disagree? How might they be addressing different issues related to faith/works?
Feel
- Do you ever feel like your faith is “dead
- Discuss the following statement about our salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. You don’t have to work to earn God’s favor, but because he has saved us, we work in his good pleasure.
- Do you ever feel good after working out or going to the gym? How might faith be stoked by exercise?
Live
- What does it mean for you to believe God? What area of your life needs fresh works of faith?
- We are not living to “prove ourselves†to God or one another. But should their be proof in our actions that we actually are Christians? Where is repentance needed? Hope?
