• How would you answer the question: “what is the meaning of existence/life”? How might you articulate your answer in light of the passages discussed today?

• What does it mean to say that Jesus is both our mediator and our ransom? Discuss these conceptions individually and then consider the implications of Paul using them together in this passage.

• In the previous two passages, Paul has emphasized both our need to pray for the salvation of all people and our own responsibility in bringing the gospel message to the world. Pray for specific people’s salvation this week and discuss how you might go about extending the hope of the Gospel to them yourself in the coming days and weeks
