• Discuss the four metaphors for growth given in the Scriptures today. Organic, personal maturing, battles and building. Do you find yourself drawn towards one of them?
• Why does hope need to have a foundation? Read Hebrews 6:13-20 again. How is an anchor for a ship, similar to a foundation to a house? What do both provide?

• Why do so many of us place our hopes on riches?
• How can life disappointments reveal to us we've been setting our hopes on faulty foundations?

• What good works can you do for others in your home? In our church? In your community?
• How is love the motivation for your obedience? How does your obedience make you truly rich?
