DISCIPLESHIP GUIDE & REFLECTION QUESTIONS
Launching Questions
- Read all of Genesis 1 together. What was most interesting or new to you from the teaching this Sunday?
- If someone asked you: “Why is it important that God created the world?” how would you respond?
Encourage
- Reread John 1:1-5 and 9-13 together. The God who created all things also came close to sacrifice Himself and make us children of God. A proper posture toward God accounts for both of these realities: awe in the presence of the Power that created the universe and the confidence/comfort of a child before her loving Father. Do you tend more toward one side of this tension? If so, what do you think is lost in not holding these two together in your relationship with God?
Challenge
- Consider your answer to the question above. End your time by considering how you might actively pursue a greater awareness of these realities. Be practical in your response and plan to hold one another accountable to these steps. End your time in prayer together.
