Community Meditation Questions

Growing in Knowledge

  • God is angry with sin. God shows mercy and brings peace to sinners. How should these truths shape our view of ourselves and other people? Our view of mercy and justice?

Feeling Life Deeply

  • In what ways is it easy to be lulled to sleep in our world to various unjust systems and structures around us?
  • Discuss the balance between being at peace in this world, yet not being at peace with it. How can we be content enough to not be constantly disgruntled yet discontent enough to work hard for change?

Living with Courage

  • Discuss the ways your MC is particularly working to show Christ’s compassion to others. How are/can you work together in light of the recent storm?
  • In what ways are you intentionally inconvenienced in order to serve others? People who may have significant needs?
  • Do you think you can serve too much? How can you know? How can your community help you discern this?
