DISCIPLESHIP QUESTIONS

1.  Read Philippians 2:1-11 aloud together. What word or phrase about Jesus stands out most to you?

2.  Do you think your allegiance to Jesus is evident to others? How so? Don’t be unnecessarily humble in your answer and, as encouragement, also answer for one another.

3.  Over what areas of your life are you not living as though Jesus is Lord? What keeps you from submitting to His Lordship in those areas? Be specific in your answers.

4.  Read John 5:19 and John 14:8-11. What is your response to the idea that “God is as Jesus does”?

5.  As part of this teaching series, we are encouraging the church to memorize the Apostles’ Creed. Read out the Creed below and begin working to memorize it together:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, 

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended to the dead; on the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father;
He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
