Community Meditation
Know
- Read the narrative found in Genesis 3? Why do you think we attempt to hide our faces from God and one another? How do the words naked, shame, etc. effect our relationship with God? With one another?
- Read 1 John 1 and 2. Why do we tend to want to keep sin in the dark and not confess it and bring it to light? What does bringing things into the light accomplish?
- Discuss how the cross and empty tomb deal with our actual fracture and shame and not simply our feelings. How can the truth/actual inform the psychological?
Feel
- Are you fearful of others knowing who you really are? Where in life do you want to wear masks?
- Why does your relationship with Jesus, your identity as a daughter or son of God, allow us to be more present in other relationships?
- Discuss with your friends, spouse, family and/or MC how we can grow in living honestly and “face to face.” How would this make community better?
Live
