Know
- Discuss the definition of righteousness provided in the sermon. Do you tend to think of righteousness more often in terms of personal piety or relational wholeness? Why is it important to hold both of these in balance?
- How is it that we come to know God through a pursuit of righteousness and not merely through direct religious experience?
Feel
- Have you ever felt any of the three “multiplied sorrows Have you ever experienced the cruelty of an unsatisfied idol? Have you ever felt like a pursuit turned out like sand in your mouth? Have you ever fought the lie of just a little bit more?
- What does a lack of fullness feel like? What might lasting satisfaction feel like in this world?
Live
- How might our pursuit of false gods inform the manner by which we can pursue true righteousness?
- What practical steps can you take individually and as an MC, family, group of friends, etc. to stoke your hunger and thirst for righteousness?
