Growing in Knowledge

• Divide the various sacrifices listed in Leviticus 1-7 (burnt, grain, peace, sin and guilt offerings) among your MC members. Read the passages outlining the purpose and guidelines for each type of sacrifice. How might that particular sacrifice shed light on the once, for all sacrifice of Jesus and its role in our redemption? Present your findings to the group.

Feeling Life Deeply

• Read Hebrews 13:15,16. Define worship. Why is worship important in the life of a follower of Jesus? What does it mean that we’re restored in order to worship God? Do you find this an exciting aspect of following Jesus? Why or why not?

Living with Courage

• Read Matthew 5:23-24. Discuss the principle taught by Jesus in this passage. What might this look like if lived out in our lives today?
• Read 2 Corinthians 2:15-17, Galatians 6:17, 1 Peter 2:20-21 & Colossians 1:24-29. Notice how the language of sacrifice and suffering is applied to God’s people today. Give examples of times when you saw the self-sacrifice of others restoring the fabric of creation. In what ways can our lives of service and self-sacrifice point others to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus?
