Know

• Read James 1:5-8, 1 John 5:13-15, John 14:12-14, John 15:12-17. Does God promise to answer all of our prayers? Why or Why not?
• Some see prayer as God being a genie in a lamp who gives people everything we ask if we only believe. Others may think that God is not really interested in answering our prayers? How do you balance this?
• What does God actually promise here in James 1? Why is this a particularly amazing promise about prayer?

• How do you feel about “prayer” and “praying?” Encouraged? Sucky? Why?

• What relationships, circumstances, challenges, trials, family and/or work issues are you facing that need wisdom? Specifically name them.
• How are you seeking to know what to do? How are you asking God for wisdom? Pray for God to grant you the knowledge, courage, follow through and steadfastness you need for these specific things.
