- A clear theme of these chapters is the healing power of Jesus. In what ways are you aware of your need for the healing touch of Jesus? What parts of your story might Jesus be seeking to engage? Be honest even if healing seems distant or impossible.
- Luke 8:43-48 is one of the most powerful examples of Jesus engaging someone’s shame. Read this story closely and slowly. Where do you see yourself in the shame and suffering of this woman? What does Jesus’ reaction to her show you about the heart of your Savior?
CHALLENGE:
- Reread 7:40-50. How do you respond to Jesus’ rebuke of the Pharisee? Do you need this rebuke?
- Discuss how you’re progressing with your “Rule of Life.”
